About Uncut Roots Forest Farm
We are a small family run homestead and market farm. We are nestled on the banks of Silver Creek right in the heart of Pere Marquette State Forest in Manton, Michigan. We raise several old world breeds including American Milking Devon and Jersey cows, Mangalitsa hogs, Jacob sheep, French angora rabbits and an assorted host of chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. We specialize in organic vegetable and farm fresh eggs as well as veggie starts and angora fiber products. Be sure to ask about our hand-crafted tinctures, salves, balms and soaps.
All of our animals are raised outside on the farm; they’re never locked up inside with nowhere to roam or live freely. Although we do supplement their diet with a non-GMO, soy-free feed when necessary, the animals move around and forage for a huge variety of foods like insects, worms wild plants and grass, all the while fertilizing the land, improving our soil health and regenerating our farm!
Only by starting at the very roots are we able to produce the highest quality foods!
